They want someone with the specific skills needed to step into their role and succeed. If you think employers are going around just looking for active job seekers to scoop up, they’re not. They’re looking for talent.

Why else would they pay recruiters tens of thousands of dollars to fill a single key role?

They are getting applicants. But they’re looking for specific things.
